LUMA illuminates the authenticity found in every story. We act as a platform for community voices and utilize art as our expressive outlet.

Storytelling itself is an art form. The twists and turns in a narrative can easily spark a mental image or paint a vibrant picture; but when paired with visual art mediums, the story comes to life.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, LUMA Galleries illuminates the human experience by combining personal stories with a variety of artistic elements. We use artistic components ranging from photography and videography to acrylic painting to amplify the life experiences of our MUSEs.
OUR STORY
It is said that art is one of the greatest forms of expression.
Historically, artists have sparked revolutions, told stories of forgotten times, and spurred innovation from creation. Whether portrayed through music, murals, photography, or videography: art across different mediums possesses the power to illustrate and convey a stronger message than words alone.
While starting their careers in Indianapolis, the LUMA Team synced on a mutual passion for human connection and art. Using the foundation of a college art project and creative collaboration, LUMA reveals that every shared narrative contributes to the bigger picture of our community members.
Together, the team turned the dream into a reality, embraced the power of artistic expression to illuminate the human experience and established LUMA Galleries as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2021.
LUMA Vol. I, the first art experience of its kind, captured a snapshot of Indianapolis, and used a variety of artistic elements ranging from photography to acrylic painting, to illuminate the life stories of community members.
